This
is a tall, showy, summer blooming herb. It grows best in
moist soil that is not especially acidic and in partial
shade.
These are
long time favorites with a great range of foliage and
flowers. They are great for the shade garden.
They can be grown in full sun, but must be watered.
   
Grown for
their foliage, ferns are unbeatable for providing an airy,
light feeling to the shade garden. Ferns need to be
grown in partial to full shade.

Astilbe is a feathery flower in a variety of colors that
bloom in mid summer. It has a bushy mound of furry
foliage. Great for the shade garden, Astilbes make
excellent cut flowers when harvested half open. Plant
in partial shade and avoid hot and dry locations.
A
long time favorite, these are showy spikes of purple, pink,
rose, or white flowers that bloom in late spring to early
summer. Best grown in a semi-shaded, filtered
sun area.
The
primrose is remarkable for a variety of vivid colors.
The large, bold blooms are on low growing plants with
heavily veined leaves. They have an eye catching,
spring time color. It works great for the front of
borders, edging, and shade gardens.
